IU Officials Boost Security for Little 500 Weekend in Wake of Boston Explosions

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): Bloomington and Indiana University police say they’ll be extra vigilant during this weekend’s Little 500 bicycle races following Monday’s deadly explosions at the Boston Marathon. Bloomington Police Chief Mike Diekhoff says “additional plans” have been put in place after the Boston bombings. Reports say some of those plans include a stronger police presence at the outdoor races.
