INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): State Representative Christopher Judy (R-Fort Wayne) was sworn in today by Indiana Supreme Court Justice Brent Dickson to serve House District 83. He will fulfill the remaining term of former State Rep. Kathy Heuer who resigned from her seat in August.

Rep. Judy was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Alena, and their two daughters, Izabelle, age 11, and Savannah, age 2.

“It is an honor to be given the opportunity to serve our community at the Statehouse,” said Rep. Judy. “Being sworn in is one of the most memorable moments of my life, and I look forward to representing the people of Northeast Indiana and the values they hold most dear.”

A graduate of Manchester High School, Rep. Judy is a decorated veteran of the Indiana National Guard and served in Iraq in 2008 as a combat medic. He currently resides in Aboite Township and works for General Motors in Fort Wayne.

“I look forward to the challenges of the coming months and the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with my fellow legislators,” said Rep. Judy. “I want to thank all of those who put their trust in me, and I look forward to bringing the voice of Hoosiers in House District 83 to the Statehouse.”
