STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Steuben County K-9 died Thursday, May 26, after complications from a year long injury.

Seven-year-old Kash stopped serving Steuben County after he was injured about a year ago. The dog began serving Steuben County in 2011 and was assigned to handler Corporal Brad Kline, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.

“He was a faithful servant to his handler, his agency and the citizens of Steuben County,” Sheriff Tim R. Troyer said.
