LaGrange County man arrested on drug charges

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Topeka man was arrested on Sunday after police say he had drugs on him.

Steven P. Nordman was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of meth, operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substances in the body and possession of paraphernalia, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Police saw a black car parked in the area of 300 W. south of 700 S. at 2:17 a.m. Sunday. Nordman was sleeping in the drivers seat.

He failed a field sobriety test and later test positive for amphetamines and marijuana, police say. Police also found meth and paraphernalia on him.

He was sent to the LaGrange County Jail.
