MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) _ Leaders of a Muncie church are working on plans to repair its 80-foot tall limestone bell tower after it was damaged by lightning.

The lightning strike during a storm late last week left holes atop the First Baptist Church tower and blew out some large pieces of stone.

The downtown Muncie church was able to hold its normal Sunday services but yellow caution tape blocks off an entrance where debris fell. No one was in the church during the lightning strike, which also damaged the church's organ that dates to the 1920s.

Contractor Scott Boyce tells The Star Press (http://tspne.ws/1rvC1JJ ) the tower can be repaired but it could take time to acquire the proper limestone.
