Man Gets 3 Years in Attempted Carjacking

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man will spend three years behind bars for trying to carjack a woman in New Haven back in December.  The Journal Gazette says 26-year-old Eric Bowman of West Lafayette was in an Allen County courtroom on Monday.  He pleaded guilty last month to the attempted carjacking on Lincoln Highway and Hartzell Road.  He was unsuccessful in that attempt.

It was the suspect’s own mother who led police to her son after he told her what had happened.  He was later arrested at a Walgreen’s store in Fort Wayne.
