Man Who Headbutted Fort Wayne Officer Pleads Guilty

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has pleaded guilty to headbutting a police officer. 

When the incident happened, 35 year old Joshua Zartman allegedly had left his girlfriend battered and bloodied. When police responded, Zartman headbutted an officer in the face after trying to use his 4 year old daughter as a shield. 

Officer were able to remove the child safely, but Zartman headbutted an officer after he was handcuffed.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, Zartman pleaded guilty to charges of battery against a law enforcement officer, residential entry and neglect of a dependent. He'll be sentenced on June 11th.
