The Mayor’s office reminds residents that Sunday is the multi-faith prayer service, Prayers for the City. The event gets under way at 4 p.m. at the downtown University of St. Francis Performing Arts Center, that’s the old Scottish Rite Auditorium. Mayor Tom Henry requested prayer in March, as a response to spike in shootings and violent crime. The event includes a number of religious backgrounds.
