Michigan’s New Budget

MICHIGAN, (WOWO) — Michigan has a new $81 billion budget, ending a long partisan standoff.

It funds roads, free school meals, and education increases while slashing vacant state jobs and cutting Pure Michigan’s ad budget.

A new marijuana tax is expected to raise hundreds of millions for road work.

Left out: corporate incentive programs, GOP culture war policies, and increased fees for hunting and fishing licenses.
