OHIO, (WOWO) — Abortions in Ohio dipped slightly in 2024, with 21,829 procedures – a drop of less than 1% from the year before.

According to new state data, 14% of patients came from out of state, continuing a three-year upward trend.

Most abortions occurred before 9 weeks of pregnancy, and only a fraction were medically necessary.

Starting this month, Ohio will launch a public dashboard with monthly abortion data updates.
