Missing Indianapolis man found dead in Wabash County

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A missing Indianapolis man has been found dead in Wabash County.

On June 28, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a fisherman found a decomposing body on Department of Natural Resources Property near CR 450 W and Old Slocum Trail in Wabash County, police say.

The body was identified as 20-year-old Alexis Serrano of Indianapolis.

Serrano was reported missing on June 6th, but according to family members, Serrano had not been seen or heard from since June 2nd.

This investigation is being treated as a homicide and anyone with information is asked to call the Indiana State Police in Peru at either (800) 382-0689 (Indiana only) or (765) 473-6666.
