FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Monroeville man will spend the next couple of years in prison for molesting a 12-year-old girl.

Tristan Wiegman, 20, pleaded guilty Thursday to molesting a girl in 2014, according to the News-Sentinel.

As part of his plea agreement, he will likely serve four years out of the 10 year sentence in prison, with the rest suspended.

Wiegman admitted to meeting the girl on Facebook, then picking her up in August 2014. After visiting Glenbrook Square, they went to a remote location in the mall parking lot. The probable-cause affidavit said the two had sex, despite the girl resisting.

The girl reported what had happened to school officials the next day. She also reportedly told investigators that Wiegman tried to blackmail her to keep her quiet by recording her saying she wanted to have sex with him.

Wiegman claims he didn’t know the girl was 12-years-old. He’ll remain in Allen County Jail until sentencing takes place on May 4.
