Muncie Dogs To Be Spared After Killing Neighbor’s Dog

MUNCIE, Ind. (WOWO): Two dogs accused of killing a neighbor‘s dog will not be put down.

Muncie Animal Control decided to let the animals live, despite pleas from the community to have them euthanized.

The wolf-dog hybrids at the center of the controversy, named Polar Bear and Ryg, escaped owner Stan Stephens’ fence and got onto Ashley Reed’s property where they killed her Jack Russell Terrier.

The board said it was a tough decision, but unanimously decided the dogs will not be put down. However, the board ruled the dogs are vicious and must be housed in an 8-foot-tall electric fence.
