FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An Indianapolis firm is working on a new mixed-use project in downtown Fort Wayne.

Indy-based Barrett & Stokley has been tied to a mixed-use project near Headwaters Park, according to the Journal Gazette. The firm has confirmed that they and the City agreed on a memo of understanding last fall.

The project, set to be built in a parking lot north of Club Soda, involves a parking garage featuring up to 500 spaces, with apartments and retail space built above and around that. Construction won’t start until fall at the earliest.

The news comes a week after the city dropped another Riverfront-area project, saying Continental Property Group couldn’t hold up their end of the deal.
