AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): No major injuries to report after a pickup collided with a semi on I-69 near Auburn Thursday morning.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department says a pickup being driven by 46 year old Douglas King of Fort Wayne  was trying to pass a semi on northbound I-69 about 2 miles north of the Auburn exit shortly before 8 a.m.

However, King tried to pass too soon and hit the semi being driven by 68 year old Lloyd Glasford Junior of Millen, Georgia. King's truck slid off the road, into the median, and rolled through the median and over the southbound lanes before resting in a ditch on the other side of the highway.

The sheriff's department says King was treated at the scene and released.

The accident did snarl traffic on I-69 for some time.
