No Severe Injuries Reported In Apartment Complex Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – No severe injuries were reported in a fire that broke out in an apartment complex on Friday.

Reports of the fire were made around 6 p.m. on Friday.

Crews responded to the scene, located in the 5500 block of Old Dover Boulevard in the Canterbury Green apartment complex, where they found a smoky haze coming from the front door. 

Reports say the fire came from an unattended candle in a first-floor bedroom. 

The fire was under control within about 15 minutes of the 911 call, but it remains under investigation.
