One In Life-Threatening Condition After Crashing Into Utility Pole

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A man is in life-threatening condition after crashing into a utility pole.

It happened around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday when officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department arrived at the scene on Lake Avenue. 

The driver, who has not yet been named, had been ejected from the vehicle in the crash. 

Reports say the driver attempted to use the center turn lane to pass other stopped traffic, but he is believed to have lost control and veered off the road. 

The crash is still under investigation.
