FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Northwest Allen County Schools have named their teachers of the year.

Two elementary school teachers and two secondary school teachers were honored. Diane Barton from Oak View and Hickory Center, Mindy Moeller from Cedar Canyon, Rhonda Swihart at Maple Creek Middle School, and Casey Stansifer of Carroll High School were chosen for their commitment to students.

Nominations from parents, students and staff were sent to a committee, where the teacher and counselors were chosen to be honored.
