CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Around 3:00 p.m. Monday, a 3-year-old boy from Deputy drowned at Patoka Lake near the Little Patoka Boat Ramp. Jayce Stallings was last seen sitting on the edge of a boat just prior to going missing. Conservation officers found him just after 4, and he was then taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses say the boy was initially wearing a life jacket, but removed it just before going missing.
