Ohio Officials Warn Drivers To Stop Jamming On Their Brakes

View of blurred traffic lights through a rain-covered windshield on a gloomy evening.

OHIO, (WOWO) — If you miss your highway exit in Ohio, ODOT has a simple request: don’t slam on the brakes and turn your car into a traffic hazard.

That’s after several highway close calls – including a watermelon truck forced to stop cold when a car swerved across lanes last-minute.

ODOT says this behavior is dangerous, reckless, and completely avoidable.

Missed your exit? Take the next one.

It’s not rocket science.

Also, no one wants to end up in a viral crash video – or worse, the hospital.
