ROSSFORD, OH (WOWO) Police in Rossford are investigating after a local woman says a DoorDash delivery driver damaged two of her vehicles, an incident she says was captured on home surveillance video according to WTVG.

According to the woman, who asked not to be identified, the damage was discovered later the same evening after the driver had completed a food delivery to her home.

Surveillance video shows alleged damage

The woman says surveillance footage shows a DoorDash driver arriving at her home, completing a delivery, and then allegedly keying both of the family’s vehicles.

She told reporters that the damage was not immediately noticed until she and her husband later went outside and saw scratches across both vehicles.

“I order through DoorDash, and later that evening, my husband and I went out outside and noticed that both of our vehicles were scratched down to the primer. It had looked like it was keyed,” she said.

The customer said the footage appeared to show the driver causing the damage before leaving the property.

Police and company investigations underway

The incident was reported to Rossford police, who confirmed they are actively investigating the complaint.

DoorDash also said it is reviewing the situation internally.

A spokesperson for the company said in an email that the platform is investigating the incident. The driver has reportedly been blocked from delivering to the customer’s residence.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed.

Additional complaint reported nearby

The customer said she later learned of a similar report from a woman in Perrysburg Township who claimed a comparable incident occurred.

After comparing accounts, the two cases were reportedly linked to the same delivery driver.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the incidents are connected as the investigation continues.

Investigation continues

Rossford police have not released additional details about potential suspects or charges. DoorDash says it is cooperating with the investigation as it reviews the reported conduct.

Officials have not provided a timeline for when the investigation may be completed or whether any disciplinary or legal action will follow.
