BERNE, Ind. (WOWO): Smith Brothers in Berne are expanding its operations and will be adding up to 266 new jobs by 2021.
The 110,000 square foot expansion was announced Tuesday afternoon, with Governor Mike Pence in attendance.
The $4.5 million expansion will add two stories to their facility on Monroe Street in Berne.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is offering up to almost $2 million in tax credits as well as training grants to aid the expansion.
Smith Brothers manufactures furniture and has been in business since 1926.
