Overnight shooting leaves man in critical condition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in critical condition after an early Saturday morning shooting.

Chris Felton, with the Fort Wayne Police Department, tell WOWO News off-duty officers were working security on W. Columbia Street, just before 3:00 a.m., when they were notified about shots being fired in a nearby alley off of 200 Pearl Street. While searching the area, they were told a man was dropped off at the hospital due to gunshot wounds.

At last report, the victim was in critical condition.

Officers have yet to confirm that the shooting took place in the alley, but they are still trying to locate witnesses. Several businesses are also located in the area, so investigators will be going through surveillance video. Meanwhile, if you know anything about this, you’re asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department.
