FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — The cost of packing a sack lunch for school is rising higher than inflation.
A recent study found the average daily cost is now $6.15, a 3% increase over the last year.
Even a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunch has seen a 6% price hike.
Despite cafeteria food often being cheaper, nearly half of surveyed parents still choose to pack a lunch for their children.
