Portage Police to Soon Carry Heroin OD Antidote

PORTAGE, Ind. (AP): Police in a second Indiana city will soon begin carrying a drug known to counter the effects of heroin overdoses. The Portage Police Department will be the first in northwestern Indiana to carry the drug naloxone. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police recently began a pilot program.
