HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (AP) _ Officials are blaming a power outage in a southern Indiana city on a youth throwing a pipe into equipment at an electrical substation.
Huntingburg energy superintendent John Reutepohler says a 3-foot-long conduit pipe was tossed into the substation Sunday night, knocking out power to part of the city for more than a half hour.
Reutepohler tells The Herald of Jasper that security cameras captured three juveniles being involved in the incident in the 6,000-person city about 40 miles northeast of Evansville. He says the video was being turned over to police for investigation.
No injuries were reported.
