WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): Purdue University’s Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter has been suspended until 2020 after school officials found the fraternity violated alcohol, hazing and other university policies.

An investigation found the chapter violated several Interfraternity Council and university policies and also wasn’t compliant with a four-year probation that began in 2013 following incidents involving illegal drugs.

Purdue officials said Tuesday in a statement that the campus office of Student Rights and Responsibilities found the fraternity provided alcohol to minors and that some members hazed younger members by forcing them to do cleaning and other demeaning work.

The fraternity’s 14 residents are allowed to live in the campus chapter house until the spring term ends.

The suspension was affirmed by the fraternity’s national organization and the Purdue Student Organization Community Standards Board.
