Results released for 16th Prescription Drug Take Back Day

INDIANA, (WOWO) – Last Saturday, Oct. 27, Indiana State Police participated in the 16th annual Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Collection sites were set up nationwide for expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs to be turned in for disposal.

In Indiana, collection sites were set up at every Indiana State Police post, except the Toll Road, and at the Indiana Government Center North building in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis post collected 300 pounds of medication, and the Indiana State Police collected a total of 2,073.5 pounds.
