Richmond Teen’s Death Treated as Homicide

RICHMOND, Ind. (AP): Eastern Indiana police say they're treating the death of a 17-year-old youth as a homicide.

Richmond Police Capt. Jim Branum says a passerby spotted the body of Caleb Woosley in an alley on the north side of Richmond on Sunday morning.

Branum told the Palladium-Item that investigators found no obvious signs of gunshot or stab wounds and aren't sure when or how the youth died.

Branum says the body was taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, where an autopsy is planned.

Richmond is about 65 miles east of Indianapolis.
