Robber Tells Fort Wayne Pharmacy Employees Not to Sound Alarm

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man is in jail after allegedly robbing a Walgreens pharmacy on W. State Boulevard.

According to police, the robbery occurred around 3 p.m. Monday. An officer was already in the parking lot of the Walgreens when he noticed the suspect walking on a nearby sidewalk with a bag full of pharmacy items.

The officer drew his gun after receiving information that the suspect was armed. 23-year-old Levi Frank-Hamilton was put under arrest after officers found a note in his wallet, telling pharmacy employees not to sound the alarm.

During the robbery, Hamilton went up to the pharmacy counter and demanded drugs.

 He was wearing 3 Fentanyl patches at the time of the arrest, and was transported to a local hospital before he was sent to jail.
