FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Allen County authorities have arrested a wanted sex offender.

County officials are thanking the media for allowing them to bring 69 year old Michael Anderson into custody. The Allen County Sheriff's Department says someone called CrimeStoppers after seeing his story in the media. 

Anderson was on the run since October of 2012. He reportedly moved and did not let officials know of his whereabouts. He was considered a sexually violent predator. 

Officials say that he was arrested in Fort Wayne on Monday.
