Spencerville Bridge Reconstruction: Less Expensive Than Originally Estimated

It’ll cost a lot less than originally thought to repair the Spencerville Bridge. You’ll remember a trucker drove across the historic bridge despite not having the clearance, ripping down several beams as he drove across. A company was hired to give their input into what’s needed, and the price tag says it’ll run 89 thousand dollars; a far cry from 1 to 300 thousand that was first estimated. By the way, that truck driver is still in the county lock up charged with 3 different felonies. Apparently, the excuse of “My GPS told me to do it” didn’t fly with motor carrier officers.
