NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A man from Rome City and a woman from Kendallville were arrested Thursday after trying to run from the Indiana State Police.

State troopers showed up at a home on Oak Knoll Road in Rome City to serve a probation violation warrant on 34-year-old Herbert Foote at about 10:12am, when they saw a truck, driven by Foote, speed away from the area.

Police gave chase for seven minutes before Foote drove off the road, causing the truck to overturn. Then he and 32-year-old Autumn Morphew got out of the vehicle and fled on foot, but were caught almost an hour later and about a mile-and-a-half away thanks to drone and K-9 searches.

Additional charges are pending.
