Fire and Police Departments Seeing Major Cuts

The city budget that was unveiled last week, and was talked about this week, and will be voted upon next week has significant cuts across the board for police and fire services. The Fire Department is already going to cut their recruit class and the Police Department will also look at making deeper cuts than they had originally planned. Fire Chief Amy Biggs says they had to make significant cuts, and if they have to keep cutting; they’ll loose more than just people; they may loose fire houses.
