Stabbing in home on South Hanna St., one woman in critical condition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – One woman is in critical condition after a stabbing in Fort Wayne Wednesday.

Fort Wayne police were called to a home in the 4500 block of South Hanna Street just before 6 p.m. in reference to a stabbing investigation.

Once at the scene, they found a woman suffering from lacerations. She was transported to a local hospital where she was initially listed in serious condition, but was later downgraded to critical condition.

An investigation revealed there was some type of disturbance between two women at the home, which led to a physical altercation. One of the women was armed with a knife, who then stabbed the other woman.

Investigators transported a person of interest to the detective bureau for questioning, and the incident is still under investigation.
