Early NWS Findings Show 15 Indiana Tornadoes

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The National Weather Service has preliminarily confirmed 15 tornadoes tore through Indiana. The strongest confirmed as of last night was a low-end EF3 on the Fujita scale that was southeast of Lafayette. The weather service says at least six EF2 tornadoes with winds of up to 135 mph hit the Hoosier State. They included two that hit Kokomo, one in nearby Grant County, and one in Knox County that traveled 19 miles. The other EF2s struck Lebanon and Washington.
