Subject Arrested for Vehicle Theft and Fleeing

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Saturday afternoon Steuben County police arrested 18-year-old Roger Raske for stealing a car and running from the scene.

Police got the call about a report that a vehicle had been stolen from Hudson. The owner’s family heard the vehicle take off from the residence and went out looking for the vehicle themselves. The family members found the vehicle near US 20 and I-69 and called the police. Deputies were dispatched to the area while the owners were following the vehicle, but lost it on Landis Rd.

One of the deputies found the vehicle, but when the officer tried to stop the vehicle, Raske took off and started a chaste.

He then went down a dead end road and hit a post, then bailed out of the vehicle and began to run on foot. Moments later,  the deputy caught Raske and took him into custody.
