The Rescue Mission Preparing to Serve 2,000 on Easter Sunday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Rescue Mission is preparing to serve 2,000 people come Easter Sunday.


On April 5th, the mission will be hosting their annual Easter meal. Last Easter, roughly 1,600 meals were served to the hungry and homeless. Anyone in need of a free meal is welcome Easter Sunday at The Rescue Mission (301 W. Superior Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802). Meal serving will begin at 12:00 p.m., and will end at 3:00 p.m.


The meal is made possible thanks to donated food, cash and the help of more than 50 volunteers.

This year’s dinner will consist of ham, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, as well as assorted pies and pastries.
