MOUNT VERNON, Ind. (AP) _ A southwestern Indiana woman's trial for allegedly confining a woman in her mobile home for nearly two months has been postponed days after the conviction of her boyfriend on similar charges.
Defense attorney Glenn Grampp tells the Evansville Courier & Press (http://bit.ly/1FiQsIt ) there's a consensus it would be difficult to seat a jury for 45-year-old Kendra Tooley of Poseyville so soon after a Posey County jury convicted her 38-year-old boyfriend Ricky House Jr. of Poseyville on 16 related counts Monday.
Tooley was scheduled to go on trial Oct. 5. She's charged with two counts of rape, four counts of criminal confinement, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of conspiracy.
Grampp says time also is needed to obtain transcripts of the testimony of Tooley and other witnesses in House's trial.
