Two charged with robbing Fort Wayne cellular phone store

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Two men were charged with robbery after allegedly robbing a cellular phone store in December 2018.

On December 13, Quaran Waterford, 34 of Bloomington, and Gary McCaleb, 29 of Harvey, Illinois, entered a cellular phone store along with a third unidentified man.

They allegedly displayed a firearm, confined two store employees and two customers, and stole numerous cell phones and merchandise worth more than $58,000.

Waterford and McCaleb were apprehended by the Fort Wayne Police Department after a short vehicle pursuit.

Both men were charged with Hobbs Act Robbery, and possessing and using a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence.
