FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A group of parents spoke out against bullying at last night’s Fort Wayne Community Schools board meeting.

About 20 parents and anti-bullying advocates called for more accountability and action by the school district against bullies. Our Partners in News at ABC 21 report that some of the parents said their kids were bullying victims.

“I want to see some accountability,” Brent Warfield said. “(See) the school step up and actually do something about it.”

Superintendent Wendy Robinson says the district is holding bullies accountable, even if parents may not see the “full picture.”

“It’s easy to say someone’s ‘not being held accountable’ if something’s not done that you want to have happen,” she says.

Parents, however, argue the district’s anti-bullying policies aren’t tough enough.
