Two in Custody After Waterloo Meth Bust

WATERLOO, Ind. (WOWO): Just after 3 Friday afternoon, officers responded to Knoll Creek Drive in Waterloo to conduct an investigation into the reported use of meth in an apartment occupied by 2 adults and 4 children. Inside the apartment, meth, numerous items utilized to smoke meth and several containers of synthetic marijuana or “spice” were located and seized.

Arrested at the scene was Todd Spallinger, 35 years old, and Shannon Badman, 24 years old, both residents of the apartment.

Spallinger and Badman were booked into the DeKalb County jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine a Class B Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a class D Felony, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The Indiana Department of Child Protection Services removed four children from the apartment ages 1, 4, 5 and 6.
