UPDATE: Police Find Suspect After Indy Shootings

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis police found a suspect, thought to have been involved in three shootings and a carjacking over the course of an hour on the city's northwest side.

Police department spokesman Christopher Bailey says in a news release that police were dispatched to a gas station around 6 p.m. Saturday, where they found a woman inside with at least one gunshot wound.

Police say she ran there after she was riding in a car with the suspect when he opened fired.

The release says that while police were setting up a perimeter at the gas station, the suspect carjacked a man and fled in the vehicle.

Later, officers were dispatched to a motel where they say two people were shot.

The Associated Press is not naming the suspect because he has not been formally charged.
