NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): A woman and two children are hospitalized in serious condition after a pickup truck struck them while they were crossing a street in northeastern Indiana.

Police in New Haven say the three were inside a pedestrian crosswalk when they were struck by the truck shortly before noon yesterday.

Police say the crosswalk is clearly marked and has a signal showing the right of way for pedestrians.

Three people were injured when they were struck by a pickup truck just before noon near State Road 930 and Green Road.

Police say a woman and two girls were using the crosswalk when the truck failed to yield as they attempted to cross the roadway.

All three were transported to a local hospital. Conditions were unavailable.
