WASHINGTON, Ind. (AP) _ Southern Indiana police say they've arrested a student in connection with a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of a school building earlier this week.
Washington Police Chief Mike Healy says the student was arrested Tuesday night in the Daviess County city. Because the student is a juvenile authorities are not releasing any information about the youngster's identity.
The Washington Times-Herald reports that police are working with county prosecutors on a formal charge in the case.
School officials evacuated about 1,100 students from Washington High School and Junior High School on Monday afternoon after a note was found saying a bomb was going to explode.
Police swept the high school building, using bomb-sniffing dogs but found nothing.
