WHITELAND, Ind. (WOWO) — The Whiteland Police Department is still searching for suspects after discovering 350 pounds of cocaine in the back of a semi trailer at a Pilot Travel Center in June.

The trucker noticed his trailer seal had been tampered with during a pre-trip inspection, leading to the discovery of 10 boxes containing the cocaine.

This seizure is believed to be the largest in Indiana’s history, with an estimated value of $16 million.

Police said the cocaine will be destroyed due to safety concerns because there is not enough space in their evidence room to store it.
