2 People In New Castle Charged With Neglect

NEW CASTLE, Ind. (WOWO) — Two individuals in Indiana were charged with neglect after a 3-year-old child was found unresponsive and covered in bruises.

Kami Nelson and Lee O’Donnell were charged in Henry County after the child was airlifted to a hospital in Indianapolis.

The child was discovered in a rental home in New Castle with extensive bruising on her body.

Nelson and O’Donnell, who were in a relationship, blamed each other for the injuries during separate interviews.

Both are scheduled for a pretrial conference on June 11 and a jury trial on July 20.
