RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) _ An eastern Indiana teenager who told a judge he helped three others establish an alibi after the brutal beating death of another teen has been sentenced to two years in prison.
The Palladium-Item reports Wayne County Superior Court Judge Charles Todd Jr. sentenced 19-year-old David Maish of Richmond on Thursday to eight years in prison with six suspended to probation for his role in the May death of 17-year-old Caleb Woosley.
Court documents said Woosley was struck 40 times with a baseball bat.
Maish was credited with 202 days of time served and 202 days of good time credit. He pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal as part of a plea agreement that calls for him to testify in the murder trials of three others charged in the case.
