CELINA, Ohio (WOWO): Three teenage boys were in a crash after police say they played “Pokemon Go” while driving.

A 16-year-old boy was cited for failure to control and using an electronic device while driving, according to the Celina (Ohio) Police Department’s Facebook page.

The police department was called around 10 p.m. Wednesday to Celina Boat Basin at Lakeshore Drive. When officers arrived, they found a Honda sedan stuck on rocks and halfway in the water on the west side of the basin.

Police later learned three teenage boys, including the driver, were playing “Pokemon Go.” While playing the game, the 16-year-old driver turned off Lakeshore Drive and into a parking area near the boat ramps, police say.

While he was trying to turn around, he drove onto rocks and into the water. The three teens were not injured in the crash and were able to escape the car.
