INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Marion County has become the fourth Indiana county to report a human case of West Nile virus this year.
The Marion County Public Health Department in Indianapolis reported the county's first case for 2015 on Thursday.
It also says mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus have been found in surveillance traps in all the county's townships.
The agency says one human case of West Nile virus was reported in Marion County last year. The last Marion County death from the virus was reported in 2012.
Other human cases of the virus have been reported this year in northern Indiana's Huntington and St. Joseph counties and Madison County in central Indiana.
Health officials suggest avoiding the outdoors when mosquitoes are active from late afternoon to dawn and using insect repellent.
